Hello! I am the Chief Executive and Founder of the OIA. I have been in activism since 2013 (When I was 15). The OIA used to be an organization called the Foster Island Independence Campaign. We wanted an independent state off the coast of Maine. One that was controlled by Indigenous leaders and activists. As time went on, I wanted the goal to be much broader. I believe that the Indigenous population of America should have all of our traditional lands back. This doesn't necessarily mean deporting anyone, in my opinion. This just means that Natives should have sovereignty over their traditional lands. What those nations do after sovereignty is their business. I am thankful that you joined the OIA! I look forward to advancing Indigenous liberties with you!
